On second thought, maybe we should submit to more -- including let's say laxatives and induced vomiting pre-flight too. After all, it's for my own safety and only traitors would refuse Exlax and induced vomiting before a flight, especially if there is nothing to hide. :eek: :D

It wouldn't really be possible for the exposure to be turned up. The equipment is designed to put out a certain frequency and that's that. If it doesn't penetrate it doesn't penetrate.

The x-rays' wavelengths won't be able to be changed, but what about their amplitude? Understanding that penetration depth is a function of wavelength doesn't mean that an intense amount of that same wavelength radiation isn't going to cause issues when it's absorbed into the outer layers of skin. Perhaps cancer risks are low if the waves aren't reaching live skin layers, but there are other health hazards still possible.
