SSSS Question
DCA-ORD one-way fares are so cheap right now, I want to fly UA out and AA back (need to fly UA out for business reasons but want AA back since last flight is at 2133). I assume that if I buy both one-way tickets individually from AA and UA I will get SSSS'd. Can I avoid that by buying both on one itinerary through AA, Orbitz or a travel agent? Or will I still get the treatment since it's technically two one-way tickets on one itinerary? Thanks

Not a guarantee, but it reduces your chances. |
Elites don't get SSSS anymore, even on one-way tix.
