2 Employees to be Fired for Allegedly Taking Medicine from Baggage

2 Employees to be Fired for Allegedly Taking Medicine from Baggage

A TSA official said the agency is taking action to fire two Seattle-Tacoma International Airport baggage screeners who allegedly took prescription medication from baggage.

The screeners, a man and a woman, were detained Sunday after a sting operation carried out by TSA and the Homeland Security Inspector General's Office, said agency spokeswoman Jennifer Peppin.

Sea-Tac Federal Security Director John C. "Jack" Kelley Jr. said yesterday that the two will be terminated.
1. Nothing about actually being arrested.
2. Note that it was "prescription medicine."

We can only hope that the sting included filling the stolen prescription bottle with Ex Lax.

If they were in possesion of controlled substances, shouldn't they have their homes and any other assets seized?

Plus, Washington State has a 3 strikes law...

Just because it doesn't say it in the article doesn't mean it won't happen.
