Did common sense win?
No SSSS on two one-way tickets! No SSSS on WN out of Hobby, and no SSSS on AA out of DFW. |

I remember flying them a couple years back when even making a seat change guaranteed you a secondary screen...since only a terrorist would ever want to change their seat, so they can be close to their onboard comrades  |

My two most recent experiences: 1. A 3-leg trip - first on NW, second and third on CO - NW "SSSS"ed me, CO did not. 2. Traveling EWR-AMS-EWR on CO with a friend on the same record, he got SSSS, I didn't. This is the second time in recent memory that he has gotten SSSS from CO, and I'm starting to think that he is on some kind of list. I am elite with CO and he is not - which may have played a role. The bit of searching one of two travelers on the same record seems a bit senseless. If we were really trying to smuggle something onto the plane, couldn't he have just handed it to me ahead of security? Incidentally, despite the dreaded SSSS, no additional search at AMS. Just a few extra security questions. |
