Perhaps a CAPPSI.V :p Why I asked for the statement to be explained is because persons here throw something out and when questioned on it they change the subject or attack the questioner (which you can see a prime example here). |

The funny thing was that the NW gate agent didn't seem to care. No band of roving screeners showed up at the gate, although I already had finalized my game plan -- making them change gloves, etc. I held my thumb over the SSSS when I gave the boarding pass to the gate agent and I boarded unharassed. I don't know why.

To the future, Bill CAPPS II not totally dead, just hiding :D Perhaps we can discuss issues instead of attacking people just to make yourself feel better. We have gone through the name calling and attacking people issue here a few times. Maybe you can do a search and see what has been discussed. |
BillScann and TSAMGR:
You're hogging the show here, so can you both just comment on the thread topic and keep the keyboard in focus. BillScann made an inappropriate comment about this member regarding surfing not checking bags and TSAMGR has an inappropriate bolding on the word assume. OK, you've both got your zings in and it's a tie - no winner here. Now, it has not been mentioned since post #2, but shouldn't the airline be the focus of frustration here as it is mentioned that the airline could have deselected these passengers with a keystroke upon boarding pass re-issue? What's the opinions on these errors and omissions? (BS and TS: a reminder, it's not about you.) |

If you change or are changed from your flight and receive a BP with SSSSs please advise the TA or GA that they need to reissue you a BP without SSSS as you were not a selectee before hand and should not be selected due to a flight change.
If you have a minor (under 12 for this) and they have SSSS on their BP ask the TA to deselect the child. It will save you time because there is a great chance you will be turned around at the checkpoint to have the TA deselect the child anyway. |
