TSA screeners play with x-ray machines

A security screener at Denver International Airport has been reprimanded and several others at airports across the country put on administrative leave for sending their bodies through checkpoint x-ray machines to see what their brains look like.

Is it just me or does one need to have a brain in the first place in order to examine it?

Shouldn't there be a piece of paper that reads "IOU one brain, signed, God"? http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...um/biggrin.gif

I'm confused. I thought that these people were fine and upstanding, better than the average citizen and thus worthy of their great responsibility?!

Admiral Loy has volunteered to have his brain x-rayed.

The TSA is currently looking to purchase a combination x-ray/microscope.

Spiff Feb 25, 2004 7:01 am

If we're going to look at Admiral Loy's brain with SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy) or TEM (Transmission Electron Microscopy), then we'll need to also engage the services of a proctologist to aid in locating the Admiral's head.

Admiral Loy is no longer the Administrator of the TSA. Admiral Stone (another Coast Guard Adm.) is now in charge. He is the former FSD of LAX.

It seems the Coast Guard is expunging the incompetent leadership from its ranks and sending them to the TSA. According to a February 13, 2004 memo from DHS Inspector General Clark Kent Ervin to Secretary Tom Ridge, the Coast Guard cannot account for $497 million in "operating materials and supplies." If you include the $637 million that Mr. Loy overspent to hire screeners, we're talking about real money.

I wonder if Messrs. Stone and Loy live in fancy mansions.

I thought Al Qaeda was paying these putzes? http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...m/confused.gif

Either way, I'm sure there's cash flow between these terrorists. How clever of Al Qaeda to infiltrate the TSA at the top...
