Need Help setting up Digital ID
 

I'll be returning from Europe through JFK and will have the opportunity to use Digital ID for the first time as I go through security after exiting customs. I could use some help with being set up for it. TSA's website says, "To use a digital ID, add your state-issued eligible driver's license or identification card to your phone using a TSA-approved digital ID app or to your digital wallet." I can't find any info on what the "TSA-approved digital ID apps" are. Can someone enlighten me?

Do you mean Delta’s digital ID or adding your state ID (AZ, CO, GA, MD, OH) into Apple Wallet? For the former, you need to add your KTN and passport info into your DL profile and opt in, whereas the latter you would follow the prompts within the wallet app (I only have experience with iPhone) to add the license.

I mean Delta's. (I posted this on the Delta forum but it got moved here.) In reading about using Digital ID with TSA at certain airports, I realized that I've never used it and wasn't sure if I was set for it. In my Profile on the Delta app, the only thing I see that might be pertinent is "Face ID," which I have toggled on. Is that all I need to do?

As far as I know, the Digital ID cannot be activated within the app, if you go on the website and go to profile and your personal details section you’ll see a place to opt in for digital ID.


The Face ID option you see in the app is about the iPhones unlock system.
