removing middle name from a uk passport while in Germany

Hi. I'm a British national living in Germany. I would like to ask regarding removing a middle name in a UK passport. Does it require a deed poll? Or can I just simply apply for a passport renewal accompanied by name change. I get a lot of trouble during my flights, as my name on my British passport includes a middle name. But I don't want to use this middle name, and I have never used this middle name, even when booking flights and hotels.

What kind of trouble do you have on flights for not including your middle name on flight bookings?

I leave blank the middle name fields on most of my flight bookings and itís given me zero problems as far as I know.

Are you using a middle initial rather than a middle name or perhaps an initial which does not match your middle name?

The best is to ticket (as well as for hotel reservations) under just the first and last names. E.g. John Henry Smith is ticketed as John Smith, not john H. Smith.

No it sounds like he's ticketing with no middle name at all, despite there being one in the passport, causing a mismatch.

OP, near as I know your passport must always contain your full legal name, so you would need to have it legally changed by deed poll or statutory declaration depending upon your country's processes.
