Damaged Fingerprints @ USCIS
I managed to get some mild chemical burns on my hands (DIY concrete work :-) and now my phone doesn’t recognize any of my fingerprints any longer.
No worries here, as I have no trips coming up for the next couple of months and apparently skin regenerates just fine, but got curious: What happens if your fingerprints aren’t good at immigration because of an injury? And while I’m here: what the hell do double amputees do when faced with fingerprint scanners? |

My mother in law has very weak papillary ridges on her fingers so the US scanners don't work well with her on occasion. One time she had to go to secondary.
