What time does DTW open?
 

So My united flight is scheduled to depart at 6AM for EWR. I was planing on getting to DTW at around 4AM to clear security since allot of flights start departing around 5AM it could be a mad house and united likes to board earlier then stated on your BP so would the airport be open and what time does the security checkpoint open? do they open that early or do they never shut down. First time flying this early in the morning. Checked DTWs website but didn't really get no where.

Because DTW is a large metropolitan airport with flights coming in and out all day and night, security does not close completely. At worse, you would have to walk past a closed checkpoint to find an open one.
