Is the second given name, my middle name?

So, I ordered two tickets recently through a travel company. One for me and one for my partner.

The box when ordering simply said enter first name, so I entered my first name. Surname I entered that as well for both of us. However, in my passport, my middle name is listed under given name.

So lets say my passport says

Given names: Adam Favsing
Surname: Jensen

My ticket only says: Adam Jensen

Is this going to cause any problems for us? Flying from Denmark, to London, to Hong Kong, to the Philippines. I know there is already a bunch of talk on here about missing middle names, but I am unsure if my second given name, is considered a middle name.

(British airways, Cathay and Dragonair)

No, you won't have any problem.

This is rather routine and not problematic generally. What is problematic to some degree is when some Scandinavian passport holders have two or more surnames listed without hyphens in the passport and use only one of the two surnames as a last name on the ticket.

Thank you guys so much. Brings a lot of peace to my mind.

British Airways told us it was fine also. But Cathay says:

Hi xxxx,

We recommend that the name(s) on the ticket is an exact match to the passport.

If this is not the case you may have problems at the airport.
I guess or hope that's just for them to clear themselves of any wrong doings.

Edit: Called into the company I ordered the package through, they also said it doesn't matter but said they added it in a note to the tickets.

This is a routine issue worldwide. Terms such as "first name" and "Last name" mean different things in different places. So long as all of the names used on the ticket appear in some order on the passport, you won't have any problems. Thus, if your passport is "A B C" and your ticket is "B C" or "C A" there won't be an issue.

Where problems arise is where names on the ticket do not appear on the passport, e.g. passport is "A B C" and ticket is "D C".

Nonetheless, as a tip for ease of travel, in future, make certain that all documents match exactly.

Thanks. Certainly will do in the future, I usually do as well, but the travel agency's website confused me this time. What an incredible amount of helpful people on here! Keep doing good work. :D

While I most certainly agree with your post, you make 2 contradictory statements. Name matching is a routine issue worldwide because the matching algorithm is not the same for airlines, passport agencies, ticketing systems,
the field sizes for printing may cut off names, or middle initial and or full middle name are used or not used to match,. This makes it exact document matches difficult.

I just wanted to add that I had absolutely no problem, and for once all the flights were even on time. :p

Again thanks for the peace you guys brought to my mind, as I was nervous before the flights. When I searched for answers on this originally, I rarely ever found a reply saying everything went as planned, so thought I would add that. :)
