Heating Pad

Does anyone know what the rule is for TSA for bringing a heating pad in a carryon? It would just be a standard heating pad to use in a hotel room.

As has goalie-dad and as recently as 3 weeks ago ex-SFO and it was not a problem-tho I did tell goalie-dad to make sure that the heating pad was the top most item in his carry on just in case a bag check was called so it would be easy to find and remove if necessary

Should not be a problem. I needed one about a year ago for a strained back. I forgot and left it in the bottom of my carry on for about three months. I went through dozens of airports and never once was it questioned when going through the X-Ray inspection.
