Individually wrapped hand sanitizer wipes.

Do they need to go in a 3-1-1 bag, or are they considered solid enough now days for carryon?

Thanks.

Thank you PHlisa, This app should be a big help but what I see is that they are treated as liquid and do need to go into a 311 bag?

Thank you PHlisa, I had looked on the tsa.gov website and couldn't find the info. This app should be a big help.

You're welcome! Says a lot about the TSA's unclear restrictions that they have to have an app for people to figure out what's legit to travel with.

You are good.

I bring these through all the time in my carry-on. They come in a package much larger than hand wipes. package is 11 x 4¼"

I've brought both individual hand wipes, and travel size packs of 10 or so wipes through without any questions or issues.

Thanks everyone. This will save some room in the 3-1-1 bag and I like the idea of being able to have them handy to wipe down the arm rests on the plane.

But as this relates to airport security measures, I'll move this thread over to our Travel Safety/Security-Practical Travel Safety Issues forum for further commentary from the resident TSA Disparagers.

"Resident TSA Disparagers" is a way to refer to FTers, TSA employees or otherwise? :D It's not a characterization with which I'd identify or identify someone else. That said, given TSA (mis-)management, it's not a surprising reference to see tossed around here too.

Not a TSA employee here, however, I've not once had an issue with individually wrapped hand sanitizer wipes and I always have a bunch of wet wipes from airlines and/or airline lounges and frequently clear US and international screening checkpoints with them where there's a ridiculous "war on liquids". I wish the same could be said for the travel packet of "Clorox" surface wipes, but I can't. I wish the same could be said for liquid Tide "travel" packets, but I can't. Mostly, there's no problem; however, consistency isn't the TSA's strong suit, and so YMMV.
