Filled donuts and the TSA
Friend is traveling from SEA-SJU tonight and would like to take a dozen top pot donuts as carry-on. Wanted to know if TSA would hassle her for filled donuts. Any experience? Should she just stick to cake and glazed or be bold and buy a few fancy filled.
Thanks for your help! |
it varies
I've heard stories both ways. Unless she wants to eat the filled ones at security she should stick to glazed.

I agree with FliesWay2Much. I wouldn't trust that any kind of doughnut, or any baked good for that matter, would make it through TSA unscathed! Good Luck!

I can't imagine a doughnut of any kind EVER making it through a TSA checkpoint.

I have brought cannolis from Boston several times. Not a problem. Just have them in a box from the bakery (tied with string so it can not be opened easily by the TSA).

We took a dozen VooDoo Donuts through PDX... many of them filled. No issues... no questions... no hassles.
