If there are a dozen or more flight crew members lined up at one-stop at ORD and they aren't being moved very quickly, even APC may work out faster than that during the mid-afternoons during the early part of the working weekdays.

APC is now accepting Canadian passport holders at ORD now.

And since the GE folk now need to show their receipt to an agent, I'm struggling to see what GE buys me over the new system. Doesn't sound like much for what I'm paying. Am I missing something??

You don't have to stand in line to have a CBP agent look at your GE receipt.

And they are expanding it to ESTA at ORD so there will be a pretty significant line for the kiosks and for the CBP agent as wee I suspect.

So at the APC kiosk if you have an ESTA you just need to scan the passport and you are in ?

See post 84 in this thread ... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chica...afternoon.html It includes some documentation about it. |
OK, but unless I am missing the blindingly obvious I do not see anything about ESTA in this: http://www.cityofchicago.org/city/en...yatchicag.html
Just for Canadians. |

The adding of Canadians into the APC lines was ready about 1 month ago. CBP needed to work out a few kinks but now that they have.
http://www.cityofchicago.org/city/en...yatchicag.html Next goal, ESTA travelers by late 1st quarter 2014. The current 32 machines though would probably not be enough once this is approved. |
Didn't know that he/she did. Interesting.

The machines themselves will need to be upgraded but this has been planned for. So it's not a matter of if, but when this all takes place*. *With the CF taking place in DC, this might be delayed. However, the airlines will push for sooner than later. |
