Removing Luggage on Stopover

Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with ending the trip on a layover or stop over. My girlfriend has a 5 hour layover before her flight to Seattle, however the layover is closer to home than Seattle. I know she can just leave the airport, however how can she have her luggage removed? This is with Alaska Airlines

Thanks

Welcome to FT,

Any checked luggage will be checked all the way through. She will need to have carry on only is she wants to skip the last leg.

Search for hidden city ticketing, thousands of threads.

In short, she probably won't be able to have her luggage removed.
