How is LAX T1 for security?

Just wondering if anyone has any recent experiences to share...flying Southwest in a week...namely worried about how easy it is to avoid the cancer machines and how strict they are regarding liquids. Thanks

I flew out of T1 a few weeks ago and the preferred lines all had back scatter machines set up and in use. If you can, opt to head for the upstairs checkpoint 1A, I think they call it. There were only WTMD up there as of a few weeks ago.

T1 is much better than T7. Then again, all the terminals are better than T7. I am outbound from there only about once a year, but I believe you can SDOO as long as they have all lines open.
