Plumbing parts = pipe = ....

My usual TSA hassle is my AC battery pack used for extended run time of my X201 and in-flight CPAP usage on long hauls.

You're required to remove electronic devices the size of a laptop computer or larger such as game systems or other similar items and have them x-rayed separately. Generally speaking, smaller electronic items (other than CPAP machines) can remain inside the carry-on. However, if you have a bunch of adapters, electronic meters or other similar devices, it may present a cluttered appearance and be difficult to clear solely by x-ray.

My recommendation is that you remove electronic items that are larger than laptop size but leave everything else inside the bag. At the very worst, the x-ray reader might call for a bag check. However, the x-ray reader might be able to clear it. It all depends on how you pack it and the experience level of the x-ray reader. The difference is how many items you want to remove at the table before putting your items in the x-ray machine and how early you're willing to check-in in anticipation of spending some additional time at the checkpoint.

I travel 2-3X/week with too much stuff and don't bother w. winding up wires or packing cords around the bag. Have never been stopped for secondary due to too many wires. And, even if you are, so long as each item is not prohibited. you are fine. Don't worry.
