TIME Rates The TSA Blog

TIME lists "Blogs We Could Do Without".

Wonder what BB will have to say about this?

Spokesman "Blogger Bob" spends much of his time debunking myths that didn't need debunking and expressing a peculiar sense of humor. He also manages to ignore most of the questions raised by commenters —

Ouch, that's going to leave a mark!:D

I wonder how long it will be before the name "Harry McCracken" will appear on the No Fly List.

It's good to see the mainstream media adopt the meta-narrative that TSA is weird and unresponsive. Beats the usual if-it-keeps-us-safer company line from corporate journalists. Another hairline crack in the wall.

He's in such good company, too: a Kirstie Alley blog, Domino's blog, and someone named "Orly Taitz". :p

Okay, 'fess up. Who here writes for Time magazine? :D:D:D

Time is pretty much on the money there.

Magic 8 Ball says..

TSA takes all allegations of a peculiar sense of humor seriously and investigates each claim to the fullest. Further, after reviewing Mr. Cracken's report, we found that our bloggers debunk actual myths. Real complaints of ignoring questions are worth every ounce of our energy to investigate, but the allegation of being a blog you can live without does not meet that threshold.

He's probably already joined a long line of journalists such as Drew Griffin who have been deemed enemies of the state.

More importantly, I now know how I am going to pronounce my name if I ever go through SFO again!

Or possibly Harry's brother Phil?

Also of note @tsagov is on its list of top twitter feeds, satire category.

Unfortunately, BB has proven over time that he just doesn't care. He'll probably get the article framed and show it off to all his friends.

In typical BB deceptive fashion, he'll say, "Look, I was mentioned in Time's article about the best blogs of 2011!"

Over 16,000 Twitter followers can't be wrong. :D

While I think most of us who frequent PV would agree w/the comment about our collective blood pressures rising every time BB makes yet another one of his puppy posts, I do think 'unruly mob' is a bit of a stretch :D

StanSimmons Jun 7, 2011 2:19 pm

Whenever I read the TSA Blog, I just pretend it is part of "The Onion".
