GE terminals not working can I jump queue

In the American Airlines (AA) forum, in http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/ameri...ways-long.html the OPer experienced long lines for CBP and the GE terminals were not working. In that situation, shouldn't a pax in the GE program show the CBP sticker on his pp and be allowed to jump the queue--one day I (and other FT/GE people) may be in such a situation and knowing how to proceed would be important info for the future.

Yes. Use the crew line.

From the FAQ section on the GlobalEntry.gov website:

Q: As a Global Entry program member, or NEXUS or SENTRI member with the Global Entry benefit, do I get head of the line privilege at U.S. airports where Global Entry kiosks are not available?

A: The head of the line privilege is only available at the 20 U.S. airports that have Global Entry kiosks. The head of the line privilege is reserved for program members if the kiosks are out of service, get referred to a CBP officer and at the egress/exit points.
