Union Leaders: "Getting Rid of PASS 1st Priority"
http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/...ELB_story.html
This is relevant to Travel Safety/Security because it is going to effect TSA employees' interactions with the public and overall job performances. I realize this is obvious to most of you, but there are those who need to have the obvious spelled out for them. Sorry to talk down the the rest of you. |
In the article the AFGE union spokes person referred to the TSA employees as "screeners" not officers. So they really are TSA Airport Security Screeners or "TSA A.S.S's".

Military officers are subject to every law of the land, plus the UCMJ. Peace officers uphold the law. When they get caught trespassing against our civil rights, they face immediate discipline, censure, criminal prosecution and civil prosecution. I can't think of an officer who is above the law. Far from it, officers are always held to a higher standard. How can a TSA employee be an "officer?" The two are mutual exclusives. |
