So you're probably right. :confused:

So - what if it's empty? I think I'm going to try this next time just to see if TSA can deal with it. It says: "Snow globes and like decorations regardless of size or amount of liquid inside, even with documentation." If the amount of liquid inside is zero, can it fly?

I knew a woman who collected snow globes. Periodically, she had to refill them with distilled water to maintain her collection. There's a plug in the bottom of some snow globes for this purpose. You can also drill a small hole in the bottom and add a small rubber plug for re-filling (who knew?). I too wonder if a snow globe drained of ALL liquid would be banned? OTOH, I used this very issue to initiate a conversation while standing in a long line to check out... (mostly older women in a craft store) There was a large display of touristy snow globes next to the check-out lane <g>. There was a universal response of disgust from all listening when I explained why it was not allowed to carry a snow globe on an airplane anymore.
