Silly security check at ZRH
Just came back from LAX-ZRH-CPH, at LAX we were lucky: body scanners only used for people who have metal objects like glasses as we saw a few older people passed through those. We got the usual metal detector and just the usual usual. So we didn't have to explain to our little ones about these body scanners.
At ZRH we didn't realise there was water when we passed through security. The security officer opened my bag and found a bottle of water, and he said, 'how old is your kid', and I said 2. He asked, 'is the water for him to drink?' I said 'yes' (of course I do I want my water!) Then he called another guy over and he asked me to promise that the water is solely for the kid, and I said I promise  He was laughing when he was asking me - I tried to be calm because I want my water. This is really ridiculous because how come people can bring bottles of all kinds of things from duty free but not a small bottle of water? Why can I only bring the water solely for the kid? And only for the youngest one? If he doesn't want the water don't I have the right to have a zip? Another ridiculous thing is that we actually found another bottle of water (33cl) in our little girl's bag which they never questioned. This is such a joke. |
