Peter King is at it again.....
The chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee blasted the media on Tuesday for their coverage of new airport security measures in the run-up to the 2010 holiday season, saying "absolutely irresponsible" news stories suggested airport screeners were "more dangerous than [Usama] bin Laden." "I come from an area that lost over 400 people on 9/11," Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., said during an event at Georgetown University celebrating the eighth anniversary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. "I don't mind going through the detectors. I don't mind being checked out." And from Tom Ridge in the link: Ridge, meanwhile, said he wants "the public to be reassured" that TSA officers "go to work every day doing the best they can." Linky At least we are hitting an exposed nerve - so that's a good thing. |
Here's the Video Of The "Event"

Oh, he doesn't mind being checked out?
Let's see how he likes seeing his kids get checked out. Or his wife. Or his elderly mom and dad. What a tool. |

My rule of never speaking ill of a fellow Notre Dame alum is being very severely tested right now.

"The aim is to create a sense of human solidarity and concern for the common good that will bear fruit as learning becomes service to justice." Now ask yourself, is King really exemplifying concern for the common good? I, for one, would be more than willing to look the other way for a bit while you lambaste him. |
I don't understand how he has any credibility on the terrorism front with his rabid support of the IRA in the 1980's. It pretty much makes my head explode every time I hear him talk.

If what we have is the best they can do, it's a sad state of affairs. |

Please sir, don't lump "us" all in to your views. Please correct your message to say "I am tired..." not "We are tired..." Thanks. :) |
He's got his supporters.
Peer King remains the US Congressman (from parts of Long Island) for terrorism who was in cahoots with people whom he later flagged as being supporters of terrorism after being himself flagged for being in cahoots with the very people he would flag as terrorists. |

King is just a nasty piece of work.
