Gate Pat-Downs at FAT

Flew out of Fresno (FAT) on AA this morning. 3 goobers at the gate picking people for pat-downs. They had an eldery man (at least 70 years old) and giving him the "grope".

One Gooberette looked at me, and I gave her a look that would freeze over Hell. they let me go through.

What's next? Cavity searches in the aisles of the plane?

These idiots have to go!!!!!!!!!

And I'll bet money the poor man probably already had a pat down back at security!

Seriously, when is this going to stop? It doesn't even make sense!!!!

Glad to hear your death glare worked.

et tu Fresno? surely they don't have nude o scopes there. must be just "random" gropes?
what good is it if they're skeered of tough looking people and just gravitate to the weaker ones?

Must have had some gropers that needed some hands-on practice

I've tried being objective, but I don't know how long I can continue to do so when I hear of this type of barbarism.

Why bother trying to be objective?

The TSA certainly has given up any semblance of objectivity when their mantra is "All U.S. citizens boarding an airplane are potential terrorists."

Haven't flown domestically now for 3 months & counting -- thanks for the reinforcement! :D

Driving to STL again this weekend. :)

Actually, they *do* have a nude-o-scope. I avoided it by going through the metal dector while a Sheeple was in it.

::facepalm::

Now I've got one more thing to prepare myself for. Thankfully I can be loud and my voice carries. I'm thinking something along the lines of, "WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS AGAIN? DO YOU THINK THAT YOUR CO-WORKERS DIDN'T DO THEIR JOB AT THE SECURITY CHECKPOINT? DID YOU BRING A SUPERVISOR? DID YOU BRING A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER TO WITNESS THESE EXTRA GROPINGS?"

So, much like you can just say "no" and walk away from someone trying to swab your beverage... can you just say "no" and get on the plane??? (I doubt it)

Wow, and to think I recently lipped off to a TSA slackjaw who was just checking IDs again at the gate. I sure as hell hope I don't encounter gate pat downs, because I'd hate to miss my flight.

Actually, that is exactly what I did at LAX. It was an early morning flight, and I boarded after most passengers were already on board. There were two halfwits standing just before the podium waiting to check my ID as I walked up alone. When they asked I said "Nope. Good to see you wasting my tax dollars though." They just kind of stared at me in shock and didn't respond as I handed the GA my BP and boarded.

My understanding is that once in the sterile area, the refusal of any administrative search, at any time, will result in immediate ejection from the sterile area. So careful of those connecting city gate-checks... :)
