Getting offloaded
 

Hi, so Im new here, but from my understanding theres alot of members who were or are currently employed by an airline in some way.
My question is this:

Recently, I was offloaded on a flight for being "unfit to fly."

I had had a few glasses of wine in the bar, and then took a cold pill prior to the flight. Normally a few glasses of wine would not affect me, but I guess with the mixture of the cold pill, it made me incoherent and i was offloaded in a wheelchair, as I was not able to stand due to the cold pill mixing with the alcohol.

I'll be the first to admit this was a stupid decision on my part.

Obviously I will have to rebook another flight, as I wont be refunded, but Im concerned I may have been put on a no fly list.

I guess my question is, how would I know forsure if I was on a no fly list, and is this a scenario in which I would be placed on one?

The simple answer is... try to fly. :)

Reading your story, I'd be surprised if you were put on the DHS NFL. Can't speak on the airlines NFL. Not even sure about the watch-list of either. I'd suspect your FF account might have been updated, yet I wouldn't expect any serious long-term effects.

I highly doubt you were added to the No-Fly list.. It happens all the time.. Just purchase a ticket as you did last time, and enjoy! Welcome to FT :)

It would be an airline list, so you can always call and ask. A record was certainly made of the incident (for many reasons) and I'd guess that if it happened again, they'd be able to realize that it was the same passenger, but I agree with others here: these things happen and an airline isn't going to blacklist you unless there's a history of it happening more than once.
