Oh TSA,
You kill a little bit of liberty each day. |
"I feel safe... uhh.... getting on a bus and knowing it's not gonna blow up."
We are a nation of retards. This situation is really accelerating now... still think "due process" is going to fix it? |
Okay so far,
TSA at the Airports. TSA at Greyhound. (maybe) TSA at train stations. (maybe) Coming Soon! TSA outside your home before heading to work or doing errands by car! They will check you out, pat you down and grope you! TSA at school bus stations. Look out parents and kids, get a good education after getting touch by TSA every morning! TSA at cruise ships. Get ready to enjoy the rest and relax on the ship. After getting a strip search before boarding! Enjoy the free drinks and all you can eat! You are gonna need it after what TSA does to you! ^;) TSA love the Smurfs earning every taxpayers dollar! ^;):mad: |
If the TSA presence really starts expanding to the non-airport transportation modes, or to non-transportation locations, I would not give it too long before some would-be passenger completely loses it and shoots a TSA agent or two dead. Given the now well-publicized extreme abuses of the public by the TSA, I would also not be surprised if the prosecution has a hard time finding a jury willing to convict. When the First, Fourth, and even Fifth Amendments seem to be trampled to pieces, the temptation to turn to the Second Amendment for resolution may become too great.

The real question is WHY are we allowing this to happen? Why are Americans so paranoid about being blown up by a terrorist that they are willing to surrender their dignity and bodily integrity not only at airports, but everywhere else too apparently?
The outrage and hoopla over the TSA has died down tremendously since NOOD. It's like it's being brushed under the carpet. People need to light a fire underneath these guys and get the water boiling again or we're all screwed. |

Actually, on second thought.... nevermind, you're fine. ;) |
Hey when did they hire Steven Seagal ?

Just a thought -- this is what got this here to begin with. More violence, more reduction of personal freedoms like travel. I'm more on the side of other solutions and we try making those solutions work whatever they may be. And my own thoughts are that some founding fathers like John Adams and James Madison likely would not have advocated violence. Just my thoughts, that's all.

The only thing that will stop this nonsense is violence. Al Qaeda certainly proved one thing: violence, if on a large enough scale, leads to political change. Violence is exactly what the founders of our nation would be advocating at this point.

My best friend works for RCCL and got me a visitor pass to spend the day aboard the new Allure of the Seas. After receiving my visitor's pass and going through the WTMD I joked with the Port Security people that how come they didn't want me to stand in an AIT or even pat me down. They all just chuckled and smiled and said have fun. At the next security point before going up the gangway to the ship I once again joked with this group of Port Security people and they laughed along with me about wanting to be groped. I wasn't feeling the "LOVE" pat ;) I gave them ample opportunity too. And one more security point at the actual entrance of the ship but I didn't feel like joking around here. But he probably would have laughed along with me. I wonder how long before the TSA decides they feel the need to VIPR in cruise ship terminals? . |

Moreover, John Adams and especially James Madison would likely be aghast at the current national government, composed of career politicians who are beholden to special interests that bankroll their perpetual re-election campaigns. In light of the Chertoff connection to the Nude-o-Scopes, Washington, D.C.'s revolving door, and lobbying efforts, Congress is unlikely to do anything to rein in TSA abuses. With that depressing backdrop, Adams and Madison possibly would reluctantly support armed resistance to the national government. Again, this is my take after reading The Federalist Papers. |

I submit that John Adams, as a signer of the Declaration of Independence, and a key author of the document knew that this would lead to war with England, which in my estimation, the writing and signing of the Declaration would inevitably lead to violence and the Revolutionary War. Adams as a political leader in Massachusetts had to have been fully aware of the gravity of his position and the firm knowledge that calling King George a tyrant and ursurper of the rights of man in plain language would not go over well with His Majesty. |
With each passing day & weeks, our civil liberties erode & fade away a notch more and it's saddening. I'm not for violence in protesting these changes but in getting the messages across to POTUS and Congress having oversight duties, I firmly believe that civil disobedience can be achieved in non-violent means. Otherwise, the headlines in the spotlight will be the slurpee summit and the tax cuts ....
Perhaps some of us will need to seriously explore and/or revisit the principles, approaches and philosophy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in its application of nonviolence to the problems and issues of the community, the nation and the world - in the face of this growing & escalating TSA and Homeland Security nightmare. We need to brainstorm a little bit more & out-smart "them" and spin it our way so that the next NOOD on a grand scale or what not will not fizzle out. |

Emphasis mine. And that's why the Founding Fathers adopted the 2nd Amendment...to give us a recourse when the gov violates our other rights. I absolutely am not advocating the use of violence, but the day will come when somenone's wife or child will be sexually molested in front of all the other travellers and that dad or husband will take matters in his own hand. That day will come but I pray it won't come down to that. |
I'm trying to remember where the movie was made that I saw where the plot was about blowing up a bus. Coulda been India, coulda been the US. I just know that this has been treated on film. Kinda laughable if the TSA thinks it can somehow cover all the places where people can board a bus. Airports are child's play. The vast majority of flyers go through a small number of hubs. Ground transportation? You're talking THOUSANDS of boarding places. Can't be covered. Security Theater escalates to a whole new level with any plan to "protect bus riders". If the herd actually buys such an idea, well, then they are too stupid to live anyway.
