Denver Passenger Handles It All Wrong

Story

Before he went through the metal detectors, Shaw told TSA officials he was opting out of secondary screenings.
Credit the guy for standing up, but he did it entirely wrong.

Top-most comments are predominantly "anything for security".
It is sad to see that people cannot wrap their heads around something that hasn't happened to them (yet).

attributed to Pastor Martin Niemöller (1892-1984)

When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.

When they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.

When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.

When they came for the Jews,
I remained silent;
I wasn't a Jew.

When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out.

His actions, as described in the article, make me suspect his real interest was in getting out of having to spend the long holiday weekend with his in-laws.
