TSA's been claiming that for years thru PV. We see how well that's worked.

More accounts:

Fox News
"If somebody feels as if they have been unduly subjected to something that they find to be far more invasive than the line of convenience and security, they should speak to a TSA representative at the airport," Gibbs said. "TSA is trying desperately to strike that balance. That will evolve ... The evolution of the security will be done with the input of those that go through the security."
CNN
"This is a process that, based on intelligence and based on feedback, is and will continue to evolve and change." Gibbs told reporters, adding the goal is to "maximize the security and protection and minimize that invasiveness."

Full credit to this administration for fulfilling its pledge to unite the country, even if unwittingly.

As the "beleaguered" Pistole and his political masters try "desperately" to maintain their balance on the shifting sand of public opinion - more like an avalanche - Rush Limbaugh and Keith Olbermann, along with a bunch of others from right to left, speak as one. ^

Let's hope some degree of common sense eventually prevails. @:-)

There isn't supposed to be "balance". The constitution is supposed to win. Every time. No exceptions.

That's such a quaint, old document that has not kept up with the times. The federal government threw it in the trash a long time ago.

Gibbs underscored that the president's highest priority during the holiday season, "is to ensure that when you or I or others get on to an airplane, that we can feel reasonably sure that we can travel safely."

Because prior to the Nude-O-Scopes and genital gropes, commercial air travel was a terrifying white-knuckled-death-grip-on-the-arm-rests ride ride, wondering if at any minute we would 'splode.

I'm tired of public officials bleating about making us feel safe.

According to one poster here, the Constitution is no longer relevant.

That's because they're counting on the presumption that this is what 80% of the populace* wants to hear.

*I mean...all those dumbing-down efforts weren't all for naught, were they?
