Report from WBAP (DFW)
Just a brief news report at the top of the hour. Can't find it on their website.
a) 6 scanners up at DFW C&D checkpoints b) Pat downs for ALL checkpoints c) NoS becoming primary soon |
well 6 scanners doesnt cover all of the checkpoints at DFW nor all of the terminals. I dont think the report has all of there facts. That and Curtis is a liar. Congress needs to hurry up and put a end to this.
everyone needs to file complaints not only with tSA, but EPIC, ACLU. if someone doesnt alarm theres no need to sexually assault them. If i travel again and a screener decides to pull this patdown BS Im gonna have there name badge number and photo before they comense and they will get warned of the potentials risks of there actions. |

What concerns me the post is "Primary soon" |

They only mentioned the C and D checkpoints. If I was flying i'd use A,B or E.
Interestingly, the D checkpoint by McDonalds had their NoS' not only roped off but even had tables, etc., sitting in front of them to make sure no one went thru in either direction. |
The 5 stages of grief...
 Disbelief  Anger  Bargaining :( Depression :td: I just can't manage to get to Acceptance |
DFW actually has 8, but 2 are for training only.

Couple that with the declaration in DFW of primary soon, reports in another thread that in BOS there are no WTMD, and in MSP there was an entire (apparently) former DL check-in area that was boarded up for construction shortly after the NoS arrived in a different c/p. Last night on the local news was a picture of what appeared to be a whole new c/p with 3 NoS's and no WTMD. This is significant because at MSP there are several c/p's in the main terminal all with 2 WTMD. Not too long ago one of those c/p's was retrofitted with 2 NoS's while the existing WTMD remained, and in another lesser-known c/p with 2 WTMD, one for crew the other for everyone else, one was removed to make room for a shiny, new NoS. They now appear to be in a process of creating c/p's that are NoS only. If that is the setup that is cropping up around the country, if a court declares them to stop using the NoS, I can see their argument becoming, "Well, we can't because that's all we have now and there's no other option. Sorry." The courts will oftimes defer to financial constraints in these matters such as the ADA no applying to older buildings that would be too expensive to retrofit. Those of us here, of course, know this argument is complete bollocks, and well, we know how TSA feels about that subject... |
I heard the report again. NoS as primary is nationwide not DFW.

But, but, but..........not three months ago our resident TSO's claimed that the NoS would NEVER be primary.

Walked thru C today. Each c/p had one backscatter NoS and one WTMD. The NoS were all roped off, only the WTMDs were in use.
