Nude-O-Scope Issue: Okay, this is THE worst I've heard yet...
Young attractive woman opted out of the Nude-o-scope and ended up having TSA tear up her boarding pass WHILE she sat cuffed to a chair.
Her crime? She asked a question of TSA. They didn't realize that Meg worked for an AM-Talk show program.

From the interview:
Some lady came over and grabbed my arm and pulled me into another area and I pulled away from her and I said, “Woah, what’s going on here,” and she said, "If you opt out I have to give you a full patdown.”
They put me in this little area which is directly after the body scanner and the WTMD and so everyone who goes through that has to go around this area that I’m in. I’m just standing there and this lady is screaming at me about the procedures, and I said "Can I talk to your boss?”
And so I’m sitting there and she brings out her manager and the first thing she says to her manager is, "This girl has all kinds of opinions about how we’re doing our job wrong."
And that’s how she introduces the situation. I try to ask a question and I don’t get 30 seconds into talking with this woman and she runs away and she comes back with a dozen cops. I sat there and counted them. I asked at one point if I could grab my camera and they would not let me touch my stuff.
I’m just sitting there…and I’m trying to talk to the one officer and anytime I ask him a question that he did not have an answer to, he would get really upset and start yelling at me some more, and then they cuffed me in the chair. And then the original TSA lady who was going to give me the patdown just kind of quietly, so no one else can hear, she says, “I can tell you one thing,” and then she rips my boarding pass in half.

Charges that could be filed.
Assault for grabbing the person without warning by the clerk.
attempted Identity theft for passing the IDs around by the TSA and cops
Sexual Assault as consent wasnt not given might be a stretch but worth a go.
Unlawful detention by the Cop.
Theres more that could be done it would depend on how much a DA gets dogged.

The TSA employee who did that should be on the street today but I'm sure TSA will just retrain them to do it out of sight next time.

There are two sides to every story, especially when FTL/FreeKeane/OTN are involved. This isn't to say that their positions aren't substantially justified on many issues, just that their encounters with Law Enforcement are antagonistic (intentionally so) so they make lousy civil cases.
In cases where no unlawful conduct occurrs-- and this seems like such a case since the police released her (and these folks have no problem getting arrested for their beliefs so I don't put actual illegal conduct past them)-- it is really a test of the maturity of the authority figures. I think we know how the TSA and Police did in this case.
Seems like the airline did a great job. ^

By the way, if you think the "Rebublican Echo Chamber" gets stuff out quick, check out these guys' blogging skills! Just google "Meg McLain" right now.

Well, in the absence of a coherent story from the other side, I'm going with Meg's. It's chilling, and all too believable. I only wish more citizens had come to this woman's defense.

CONSUMERS/leeches/gangsters are prolific...
If I came to her rescue, would anyone here have helped me?
A BIG FAT NADA: you've got to keep your crummy salaryman job, mtg, economy car, etc.

It appears she broke no laws and her actions simply tested the maturity and lawfulness of the actors involved.

I find the story believable, however this occurred at FLL? I am not saying that FLL security is the best, but EVERY FLL employee including LEO get sensitivity training (Beyond the TSA or airline requirements) and the TSA agents at FLL are consistently the nicest and most professional I have met at a major airport. I'm not one to stand up for airport security and I'm not ready to say who was in the wrong here, but I'm questioning this story.

As posted above, I disagree, but with the TSA, anything is possible. And yes, BSO sucks, especially the airport bureau, but it is TRUTH that every airport employee receives sensitivity training, so take what you want out of it
