CNN Poll on WBI - Do You Object?

There is a poll asking, "Do you object to full-body scanning?" on the CNN.com Travel page right now. Currently 65% are in favor of the nude-o-scope!

It's to the right about 1/3 down the page. It's easy to miss, it took me a while to find it, as well.

TXagogo Oct 27, 2010 4:38 pm

That is astounding and sad but not surprising. The folks at SJC today didn't seem to mind it in the least. And we're talking CALIFORNIA! The BAY AREA no less!

OK fellas, we got our work cut out for us.

I just voted.

hapyro721 Oct 27, 2010 4:42 pm

At first I couldn't find it and it hidden behind a Hawaii ad.

And the ads are annoying -- you might have to try 2-3 times to get around them.

jampa Oct 27, 2010 4:44 pm

Thats why they make .......!

FriendlySkies Oct 27, 2010 4:46 pm

Just voted! Come on FTers, lets get the results reversed! ^

Got my vote!

N965VJ Oct 27, 2010 6:14 pm

Anyone care to guess what my vote was? :D

Global_Hi_Flyer Oct 27, 2010 6:26 pm

64% say they don't mind. Wonder how many would be OK with the cops looking in their bedroom window if they thought it would keep them "safe".

Sad for the future of the US.

lostinthewash Oct 27, 2010 7:37 pm

AKDan Oct 27, 2010 7:49 pm

I get a "What's your favorite hotel amenity?" question instead.

Well I am in the US, but fairly close to Mexico!

divemistressofthedark Oct 27, 2010 8:42 pm

I voted.

Isn't it a little strange this poll has been at the same number (64%) all day long? The vote numbers were this as of just now:

No 64% 4705
Yes 36% 2631
Total votes: 7336

swag Oct 27, 2010 8:43 pm

64% still means that 36% do object to the scans. Yet TSA says 90 or 95 or 98% comply. So most of the 36% either don't know they have a choice, or find the pat down even more objectionable.

And it still is. What gives?

No64% 4749
Yes 36% 2673
Total votes: 7422

Spiff Oct 27, 2010 10:59 pm

I imagine that part of the reason the numbers are skewed toward sheeple is that no one is asked whether they travel by commercial airline before they get to vote. One should have to be a passenger before they should be given a say on screening practices.

RedSox Oct 27, 2010 11:10 pm

Change the poll question to "Do you want some dope smoking pervert oogling your lovely daughter once this here maching electronically removes her close"?

See if that skews the polls a bit.

I have no doubt that the majority of the "no" votes were posted by TSA employees and the employees of the companies that make the nudeoscopes.

OrlandoFlyer Oct 28, 2010 6:29 am

Vote up to 73% now against in regards to OIA NoSs.
