This morning was the first time I've flown out since the precheck line came to UA. At the south premier line (closest to T2), the lane is set up on the left and goes straight through to the metal detector. The next lane on the right goes to the NOS, which was open at 7:30 a.m. (It's been closed most of the time I've flown mornings this year.) Fortunately, there was another line after the checker that went to a metal detector; I couldn't see it until I was almost at the check stand. Most of the people in the premier line took the NOS line though, and no one opted out while I was there.
Isn't there still a safe checkpoint in T2 that you can use for UA gates (AA T3 too for that matter) as well as the T2 carriers like AC and DL?

A backscatter machine showed up at the single lane EYW checkpoint within the past few weeks. It was roped off when I passed through security on July 18. Once it goes into use, the only option to avoid will be opt-out. EYW is one of the privatized security airports so don't know if that might make a difference in how courteously the opt-out patdowns are conducted.

Are you sure it was BKSX? Two blue boxes? If so, I guess that partially answers the question of what's happening to the BKSX machines pulled out of PreCheck lanes. Being sent to smaller airports that don't have MMW yet.

The middle lanes were way too long, so I chose the trusted traveler (Orlando's version of elite) lane on the right of the employees lane. After the boarding pass checker, the lane divides. I chose the one on the far right next to the window since it was shorter. At that point you can't see where it will end up, and it ended at a cancer machine. The lane next to it on the left had both metal detector and cancer machine and no barrier between lines. I tried to go through the metal detector but no go, so had to opt out.

BOS Terminal A SkyPriority lane

The leftmost lane in BOS Terminal A's checkpoint services both the Pre-Check and the SkyPriority sub-lanes for Delta. There is no crossing over between the sub-lanes, and the Pre-Check feeds directly into the WTMD, so by using the SkyPriority lane at this checkpoint, you are guaranteeing yourself either a trip through the BKSX or a pat down. In addition, it took nearly 25 minutes for a female assist to show up to perform my pat down when I went through last Saturday morning, when I could have easily chosen another non-SkyPriority lane and done an SDOO.

Could you please change the first post in this sticky to reflect this? If you object to the BKSX, it negates the convenience of the SkyPriority lane, so this could potentially save some Delta pax a world of trouble if they knew this information coming into BOS.

EDIT: PM sent.

Bali, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur?

Hi, I`m new to the forum, and I`d like some help... I`m traveling to Bali (DPS), with stopovers at SIN and KUL, and I'm wondering if you guys know if one of these airports have those full body scanners machines we're all terrified of. Tks in advance!

They have no scanners in SIN, KUL, DPS. Only WTMD. You can go back to beginning in first page. You can read it again and welcome to FlyerTalk.

BTV now has Provision ADT

A year ago, BTV (Burlington, Vermont - an airport with 8 gates) had only two WTMD. I flew out of BTV on 7/31/12 and sadly saw that one WTMD has been replaced with a Provision ADT machine.

On 7/31, the WTMD was roped off so people had no choice but to go in the ATD or opt-out. Since I was travelling with my two children, I knew I could probably go through the WTMD. I stated to the TSA guy, "Would you mind opening the WTMD since I am travelling with my children?" He said, yes, children go through the WTMD.

Last year I stepped on the "door mat" right after the WTMD, set off some alarm and was told I was randomly selected for further screening in which they tried to confiscate my daughter's nearly empty 4.0 oz tube of very dangerous Tom's Natural Toothpaste. This year, I stepped next to the door mat and got a look from the TSA but no further search.

SEATAC:
"C and D Gates and Access to All Gates" checkpoint has a family lane on the far left. Only families use this lane up until the ID check. After the ID check all other passengers can access the line which feeds into a WTMD. If you have extra time and can stand the strollers, diaper bags, toys, bottles, crying children, stressed out parents etc... head there.

DUB (Dublin, Ireland) has gained an L3 MMW with ATD. It's in lane 15 of terminal 1's security checkpoint, which is the lane fed by fast-track and also the staff lane. Opt out is allowed for pax but not, apparently, for staff. Trivially easy to SDOO by heading for the low-numbered lanes (you get to choose whether to send yourself to lanes 1-8 or 9-16), or if you really don't fancy your chances, head to terminal 2 as the terminals are connected landside and airside.

GSO now has 2 MMWs with ATR at the North (Delta/United) concourse. Given that the South (US/AA) concourse is designed exactly the same, I'd guess they've got them as well.

The machine can also easily detect if you have any breast or butt implants?
