Well, this is a morning infotainment show. When I was scanning through the transcript, I saw the previous segment was about a chimpanzee that got loose in Kansas City.

Right now, this story is the first item in the Spotlight column on Google News, and that's without me being signed in with my preferences. More here. ^

What possible purpose, other than wanting to teach him a lesson about not being intimidated when they wanted you to feel intimidated could there have been in this action? And THEN, of course, he subsequently accosted, detained and questioned by ANOTHER officer AS HE WAS LEAVING! Is it the TSA's view now that we need to be alert to terrorists LEAVING the airport?
As I understand it, once the screening process has started, you cannot just say "Uh, no thanks, I'm going home." at least according to what some screeners have posted in this forum. If this was not a credentialed pilot in uniform, what would have happened? Would they be arrested, forced to submit to a genital grope, or what...?

I actually wouldn't have any problems contributing a nude pic of myself from the neck down to a collection of other such unidentified photos.

I'm glad you don't think it's unreasonable. Please post the link to the website soon so we can all view it.
Do you have the other 199 pics I'm supposed to mix it with?

Nice. Looking forward to it.

I'm sure there are plenty on the net you could come up with.

Sometimes, because it's more comfortable with the climate.

Sometimes, because I sun-burn easily.

Sometimes, for protection appropriate for the activity I'm engaging in.

Sometimes, because my boys need a home.

If none of the above apply, if I'm within the confines of my home, I may very well not be wearing clothes. Otherwise, I wear clothing to avoid arrest and/or gain admission to establishments that prefer you are wearing some.

Preventing other people from seeing my skin is not one of the reasons.

Most of the search engines have the capability of doing an "advanced" search that allows one to find images of any category. Some of them even have options to show only images that are approved for "reuse".

Interfering with the screening process, refusing to complete the screening process... I dunno. One of the screeners that posts here would have to answer that.

What happens if, during the screening process, you decide you no longer want to continue and wish to exit to the non-sterile area?

Thumbs up Congrats - CNN has picked this up!

CNN: Pilot refuses full-body scan, pat down

(CNN) -- A pilot who refused to submit to a full-body scan or the alternative pat down going through airport security said the procedures violate his rights.

Michael Roberts, a pilot for ExpressJet Airlines, refused a full-body scan last week at a Transportation Security Administration check point at Memphis International Airport in Memphis, Tennessee.

<snip>

"Pat down is misleading," Roberts said. "They concentrate on the area between ... the upper thighs and torso, and they're not just patting people's arms and legs, they're grabbing and groping and prodding pretty aggressively."

<snip>

"I was trying to avoid this assault on my person, and I'm not willing to have images of my nude body produced for some stranger in another room to look at either," Roberts told CNN.
:-: Includes video interview as well. :-:

At Metafilter they've named the devices as pornoscan:

I agree that spreading that name can make these devices quite unpopular very quickly.

Sad to see all of the footage of sheeple going through the NoS.

Also disappointed to hear Tom Costello ask if the pilot was hiding drugs
