Yes They Do

Do you think MOC go through the regular security lines that we lowly citizens have to put up with?
Except in rare occasions they ALL do (but can be escorted through the employees line) |

They do go through security, but very seldom do their receive the services you describe. There are a few who do receive benefits, though.

Wow. You really have ingested large volumes of TSA kool-aid, haven't you?

Maybe at your airport. Can you speak to DCA (where they still get special parking...)
But I've actually worked at more than a few airports, and have seen more than a handful of MOC fly, all proceeding through the checkpoint. The only times I have seen or heard otherwise is from this site, or a few scattered news stories. |
I flew out of DCA this afternoon (DL concourse) and the security lines were backed up all the way to the Cibo Bistro restaurant. It took me an hour to get through the Elite/Medallion line. I was told by the lead TSA person that the lines have been really bad at that concourse since UA moved there. I used to fly out of that concourse 2x/week for years and it never took me more than 5 minutes to clear security. My how things have changed in the few weeks that I have not been flying out of DCA. Are the lines really that bad all of the time now? I also was not pleased to see a Nude-O-Scope machine in the middle lane of the concourse now. It makes it much harder to self-select out of the machines.

P.S. a pilot also held things up because he wanted to bring his set of 5lb weights through. |
