TSA IN THE NEWS (again)

TSA's perverted Porno-Vision scanners getting a bit more attention.

Airport body scanners reveal all, but what about when it's your kid?

Article: Airport body scanners reveal all, but what about when it's your kid?

Interesting article I found today discussing a 12 year old girl's experience with the WBI. Didn't see it in the list of recent posts.

Seems like another case of sexual assault against a minor.

It wouldn't surprise me if the victim needed counseling. TSA should have to pay for it.

Interesting, Spiff. If minor child was forced through WBI without permission of parent or other adult with the authorization to allow this, could it be looked on as sexual assault?

Well, gee, given the choice, wouldn't you rather be severely traumatized by trained security officers than risk being blown up by professional terrorists?

I certainly think so.

Some stranger was able to peek under her clothes without her consent. Not only is that pretty sick, it seems to meet the definition of a sex crime. People seem to have to register as a sex offender for similar crimes...

Here is a related story on Consumerist.

Some of the comments are disappointing to say the least.

Also shouldn't be separating kids from their parents or other responsible adults.

It's good to see that this out-of-control agency finally is getting the publicity it deserves. I am expecting to see many more articles like this.

Maybe Chester the Molester has a new career as a Tampa TSO?

I've noticed a shift in the tone of comments there. It used to be more focussed on the rights of consumers of all types. Now it leans more towards the idea that you have to federlaize to professionalize.

Folks there will fight against reciept checkers (as they should), but have no problem quoting the DHS/TSA party line.

Mom upset about daughter's full body security scan experience

http://www.abc2news.com/dpp/news/reg...can-experience

COCKEYSVILLE, Md. - The TSA calls them another weapon in the fight against terrorism. Advanced Imaging Technology, or body scans, are at 41 airports, including BWI.

The machines are meant to detect a wide range of threats. But even children could be picked by an agent to move through one, which doesn't sit well with Michelle Nemphos of Cockeysville.

Her 12-year-old daughter, whom she did not want to appear on camera, was at Tampa International Airport on vacation with a family friend when a TSA officer chose her.

"It's an image of a nude child that they're seeing. This is child pornography whether people want to believe this or not. How is this any different," said Nemphos. ...

Take away scanning kids and guess where they'll strike. It really doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out. This is not play. This is real life drama with dire consequences. Get over it and adapt.
This guy should probably never leave his house again. And probably shield his house in lead. Baaaaaa!!!!!!!!
