Hi, this is not really specific to air travel but I thought people here might know the answer. I am looking for a specific picture I saw on the net a few months ago. It was showing a super long line of cars waiting in line at the Canadian border, while the Nexus lane was totally clear. It might have been at the Peace Bridge or other crossings in Buffalo, but I am not sure. I want to show my mom since she doesn't believe the wait time will be long at all since she said in 1999 she entered Canada via car and there was no wait. I have tried all kinds of google searches but to no avail.

The pic was similar to the one below but it showed the specific Nexus lane as well, which was totally empty. It was kind of dramatic.

hi kiwiflyer, how did you get the pics to appear? when i clicked the insert image button, it just showed a hyperlink, not an actual image.

EDIT: when i am logged in, a hyperlink appears instead of a pic. but when logged out, it shows the pic.

Ok, I plead ignorance. Will someone explain what a NEXUS lane is?

Nevermind. I googled it.

WOW. Talk about surrendering your civil rights to get that pass. That is terrible. Next they will require a DNA sample. (If that isn't already required somewhere)

People confuse civil rights with privacy :) I personally would be happy to submit my iris scan to the CBP if it allowed me to enter this country quickly and without any questions at all. That is what they started to do in Germany, and I think it is a great idea. Those who do not like it can continue standing in queue.

Never. I think someone is monitoring by CCTV and would give them a real hard time. I hope.

Not never. Two weeks ago, there was a 2-hour queue at the Peace Arch, and one car was trying to cut into regular line from the Nexus line. I don't know if it was an honest mistake or intentional, but other drivers were not happy ;)
