EWR ranked lowest in passenger satisfaction
http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/201..._worst_la.html
Newark did no better than third from bottom in any of the six customer-satisfaction categories and finished last in three of the factors — airport accessibility, security check and terminal facilities. |
I somewhat surprised by this. I have been flying in and out of Newark on many occasions
the past severla years I really like the CO operation. For food, there are many choices. I especially like the C1 international gate area. I do have an issue with security but is this not controlled by TSA. Last November I was waiting to get through security at 5:00AM, C1 and C3 were closed and only had C2 open. There had to be over 100 people in line and only one lane was open. I myself was in no real hurry. I was not flying in the morning, I was running the NYC marathon and wanted to leave my stuff in the PC, I was flying in the evening. I felt sorry as some people had flights to catch. I let some go ahead of me. Also even during regular hours the CO Elite Line is as long as the regular line. Depending on the time of day getting through security can take some time. The airport layout with the three terminals is good and traffic seems to flow. I have parked in short term and access is easy. The Airtrain is convienent especially going to the NJ transit station. |

No surprise about the ratings, given the terminal dumps. |
Not at all a surprise. sEWRark is the worst of the worst, especially in the so-called "security" department.
