Should We Bail From MCI/WCOM?

http://www.usatoday.com/money/teleco...dcom-banks.htm

Is it time to leave MCI/Worldcom and try to earn FF miles from another telecom company?

Are there any others out there where you can charge your monthly bills to a credit card (I don't think AT&T has that option?).

Finally, are there any opinions on what will happen to our sevice / miles if bankruptcy is declared???

If you are a business in which uninterrupted phone service is of critical importance, I would be worried. However, since I am self-employed one-person research contractor, whose office phone is his cell-phone, I am not worried. Do whatever makes sense points wise. The other long distance companies will be more than happy to take your business whenever you want them to, and the changeover should take less than a week, which would surely be enough time to get off of a sinking ship. UNLESS, like I said above, you are a business whose phone lines are of critical importance, e.g., a call center.

They just lost my small business because their rates climbed upwards and then the aparent fraud. That did it!

I feel sorry for all the employees because I am certain they are loosing many customers right now.

I just switched to At&t from MCI out of fear that my service would suffer. At&t does offer online billing, and I got 5000 Onepass miles for switching (and an additional 1000 for online billing). The onepass site has a link.

Sprint also has online billing and you can bill with a credit card. I believe they have Alaska Airlines, Midwest Express, and Virgin Atlantic. Plus, they have got great rates, service, and the miles post.

AT&T does have online credit card billing. I just switched ... will talk about that in a separate thread.
