CUZ-MIA options - seeking advice

Returning to MIA from CUZ, I have the following choices:

1) JA7036/AA918 with a 4 hr layover at LIM: Requires a 4:40pm departure from CUZ, and I'm not sure I will be that interested in staying there (already will have spent 3 nights there). And how do I book such a flight combination? I would at least collect AA miles. Morning arrival at MIA means easier drive home (3+hours)
2) LA2006/LA2694 3 hr layover in LIM: departs CUZ 8:30am. Overnight in MIA required before attempting drive home.
3) LA2012/LA2480 3 hr Layover inLIM: departs CUZ at 7:30pm. Extra time in CUZ not that appealing but I would have a morning arrival in MIA.

I do not have lounge access.

Would JetBlue LIM-FLL be any better for you? Shorter drive to Sarasota?

Edited to add: I see that AA offers a CUZ-MIA fare, utilizing JetSmart and AA.

Thanks for the suggesetion. Closer but the times won't work for us.

Yes, thank you. I see that now. Plus I will get free bag check if I book thru AA.

I have decided on option 1. Thanks for reading and replying.

Not sure about the free bag-check due to your status, since you will be checking your bag initially with a different carrier, and your bag will presumably be through-checked to MIA anyway.
