We took a taxi leaving the airport and the bus back to the airport. Bus pickup was on time (1 minute late). We arrived at airport 15 minutes early. We were 2 of 3 passengers. Paid cash in USD upon boarding. Wifi and power worked. Music on speakers was soft rock.

I have used the Quick Llama vans, it was the cheapest option I found to get to or from Jorge Chavez International Airport. It has a rate of between 4.5 USD (15 Soles) or 3.10 USD (10 Soles) for groups of 3 or more people.

The vans were comfortable and had Wi-Fi and air conditioning. I booked the seats before arriving in Lima with a message from Whatsapp.

We used it last June while flying in and out, and it was AWESOME. I bought the tickets ahead of time over the 'net months before we flew into Lima. It was easy. Bus was convenient and clean, and on one leg, we were the only passengers! However, they don't start service until 7 am. When we first landed in Lima from the U.S., it was 6 am, so we decided to take a regular taxi into Miraflores. Craziest taxi ride ever! But leaving LIM for Cusco, and then Cusco back to LIM, it worked out great. Highly recommended!

bump ... any recent experience with these services?

should be ok getting to our Miraflores hotel after arrival (Sunday ~0800), but departing LIM Tues ~0840 has me rather more concerned -- Lima Airport Express and QuickLlama both indicate their ~0600 trips from Miraflores arrive at the airport ~0715, which I don't think is sufficient time for an intl departure where we will likely be checking bags ... hotel says they can arrange Taxi Green ($25, which seems to be worth it)

If all goes well, a 6am weekday taxi from Miraflores could get you to the airport by 7:15. But I'd be nervous about arriving even later. I haven't used Taxi Green, but hotel taxis are generally fine. You can also Uber, or use Taxi Datum if you want to have something pre-arranged on your own.

booked w Taxi Datum via their website and got email confirmation within five minutes: $18 / 55 soles (senior rate) each way, drop off and pick up at hotel (rather than the Airport Express bus stop four blocks away) ... not having any idea how long it would take to negotiate Peruvian passport control and customs, I had requested pickup an hour after arrival; the driver was apparently monitoring our flight, because just as I was explaining to my wife that we might want to get coffee to carry us though the ~45 minutes to pickup time, I saw the driver holding a sign with my name

UPDATE: used the QuickLlama van ($13 / 35 soles prepaid via secure website) on the way back to the airport ... booked the 0530 trip; we were the last passengers to be picked up, ~0540; got to the airport ~0615, checked bags, had coffee and a pastry before going thru security, and were airside by 0715) ... emailed TaxiDatum to cancel the return trip ~T-24 and again got confirmation within five minutes

Had a full day laoyover on the way down to PUQ. Took the bus to Miraflores and an uber to Barranco. Totally recommend it. On the way back, it took like 90 minutes to get back to the airport because of traffic.

It was USD $15 round trip. They tagged the bags for the hotel you exit at. Then escorted me out to the bus (it's on the far end of the parking lot). On the bus they call the hotels and address you by name. In seat chargers worked great. Wifi, well, not so much, but hey who realisitically would expect that anyway!

The bus was about 2/3 full on a Saturday at 5:00 pm. For the return trip at 7:30 pm on a Monday, there were only two of us.

Looks like they may be associated with PeruHop as there is a lot of that advertising seat back.

Driver was very safe, and the feeling of being in the big bus is definitely way more comforting than the luck-of-the-draw cab driver in Lima!

Highly recommended service.

Joel
I think it is associated with Peru Hop. I bought a pass with Peru Hop and there was an option to purchase a discount ticket with the bus. I agree. The bus ride was comfortable and dropped off very close to my hostel in Miraflores.

I stay at the DoubleTree El Prado in Miraflores. Great location, personalized service, upgrades (HHonors Diamond), use of private club gym next door, excellent concierge and, on the topic of this thread, the bus to the airport picks up at the hotel door.
