Sacred Valley accomodation suggestions: Guardian

Some suggestions. Haven't stayed in any of these but they look nice.

I wouldn't say no to staying again at Hostal Iskay in Ollantaytambo or Samana Inn in Cusco

I stayed at El Albergue, Ollantaytambo 2 months ago. Nice room, beautiful gardens, next to the train station and good restaurant but useless front desk staff and no wifi in rooms as promised.

I stayed at Melissa Wasi which makes the list in The Guardian.

The "shaman son" is a really nice guy and a bit of a random pot head type, his mother though simply should not be working in hospitality. She comes across as quite resentful and literally everything is too much effort for her. You are unlikely to feel at home there. They are a wealthy family from Lima, they probably don't need to rent out their bungalows and I wish they hadn't.

If I went back I'd stay at the Pisac Inn in the market square. Amazing food, a charming hotel, open fires and it is only $45/night
