It should be enough time. I had a little over an hour to make a flight to Iquitos when I flew in from cusco and made it, though if I did not have the boarding pass I probably wouldn't have. I didn't check luggage so I'm not sure if it transfers or not...if it doesn't it will be pushing it close.

Hope your outbound from LIM is a flexible ticket.

In normal weather, this should be ok but if flight is late out of CUZ due to weather then you might be SOL depending on type of your outbound ticket.

I had the same question, though posted (and not answered yet) in Avianca/TACA forum. Maybe you guys have a better idea.

Planning a trip to Peru. The way there is easy with ample connection time (90min in SAL) going to LIM. Question is on the reverse.

I will be coming from CUZ. CUZ-LIM-SAL-IAD

CUZ-LIM Dep 8:05a - Arr 9:30am
LIM-SAL Dep 10:30a - Arr 2:00p
SAL-IAD Dep 2:57p

So a few questions... and realize the entire trip would be TACA - booked under one ticket.

1. The connection time in LIM - is that sufficient? I realize that the CUZ flights can be delayed, and frequently. BUT, if it is on-time, do I need to retrieve baggage in LIM or can I just head straight to the gate for SAL since it's on one ticket and same airline?

2. is 57mins in SAL OK for connection?

3. If I get mis-connected in LIM, what are my options for getting back to IAD?

If TACA doesn't tag your bags through the LIM connection might be a bit tight.
The SAL connection if fine since you unload/load directly in the secure side of terminal, no security or other done.

Is it possible to do a true mileage run to LIM?

I'm doing EWR-LIM landing at 2105 and leaving on the same day 2 hours and 45 minute later at 2350 on LIM-IAH. Will I have to go through immigration or can I transit easily?

no problem, just pass through easy airside security in transit

Does it work in the same way for domestic connections in Lima? I have transited domestic-into-international at LIM and then I had to leave the gate/secure area and pass through security again. I wonder if it is the same process when you travel within Peru.

Hi. For domestic to domestic you have to exit luggage to landside then re-enter airside through security, but security in LIM domestic is really fast.

In fact recently did that in less than 20 minutes, gate to gate.
