Lima

We stayed at this hotel. Very nice breakfast included and you get drink coupons. The bar by the roof top pool is pretty neat.

I actually just got back from the trip. I was not planning to go to Machu Picchu on this trip but I am in June. I'm pretty hopeful the lines will be fixed by then.
.

FYI, Tony Roma's has been there (Larco Mar) for years. I don't get to Peru very often any more, but when working there regularly it was a typical stop after 15 days or so in the bush and way too much backcountry "local" Peruvian dishes while working the hinterlands.

At one time there was also a Hard Rock Cafe at Larco Mar. It has probably been closed for five years or more now. I still have the tee shirt......

You can easily talk them down to S/.100 and it will be at least 15 mins (in my experience). I did the parasailing there about three years ago and it was one of the funnest things I've done in my life anywhere!! I highly recommenced doing this if you get the chance - it is completely worth it. My pictures from it here.
