2 hotels in Seattle -- any feedback?
I am spending a week in Seattle next week for work. The 2 hotel choices are:
Silver Cloud Inn Mukilteo Hilton Garden Inn Seattle North/Everett Any idea which is a nicer place to stay? The Silver Cloud Inn looks like it's on the water (but I won't have a water view room... too much $$). I like getting points, but I also like the idea of a cute hotel on the water. Thanks for any feedback. |
what part of the area are you planning to visit/work? Neither of those hotels is actually "IN" Seattle.
|
I've stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Seattle North/Everett and it's a very standard HGI. It's location is best suited for those with business at the adjacent Boeing Field or Everett. It's at the NW end of the field.
I'm a HH fan and I think the hotel is fine but definitely nothing more the a good business hotel. |
Missydarlin, I am visiting a client who is in that area, and they recommended the hotels. So it's okay that it's not in Seattle proper. Thank you for the reminder though... !

Thanks Dudemon! Yeah, there doesn't seem to be much to do in the area, but I'm going to be spending most of my time with clients....
|
I'd take the HGI, myself. There's also an Embassy Suites in Lynnwood, a little bit further south toward Seattle.
|
So I ended up at the HGI. My room is at the end of the hall and I can hear the hall air conditioning. I do love the view of the airfield where the Boeing planes are taking off and landing. And there is a great view of the mountains behind. Overall, a solid and safe choice.
