AirTran won't give seat assignments?
I'm flying AirTran in mid-August one-way on a webfare I booked a month ago. I called today to get seat assignments, and the CSR said that they couldn't assign me seats since my fare was a webfare for which they would only assign seats at the airport. I asked how full the flights were and they were fairly open. Has anyone run into this before? I'm a little annoyed...

Airtran assigns seats at the airport for most fares. Now they offer Y,B,M fares assigned seating. This lets the business traveler get the pick of the litter(when they are usually stuck in a middle seat all the way at the back if they book 2 days in advance) while still keeping with their old policy.
