Spirit - when do they load 'real' fares?

I am starting to look at tickets to go to my hometown for the Christmas holidays. Spirit flies the route I need, as do a few other airlines but the fares Spirit has loaded are almost $150 more expensive than even Delta!

My question is this: Does Spirit keep their most expensive, Full Y-type fares loaded until some point in time when the load their "real" discount fares? If this is the case, when will the lower fare structure become visible?

Thanks!

I see that no one ever replied to your question from several years ago. I still have the same question. Flights from MSY-LAS on 2/12/20 are $70 (with $9 Fare Club) one way. On the NEXT DAY, they are $343. Does anyone know what is behind this? (And please don't tell me it's because of Mardi Gras in NOLA. The fare is $343 from 2/12 until the end of the published schedule in April).

Why bother releasing the schedule if you're a "discount" airline, but you have no discounts?
