Airlink should open up a route to Mauritius! Even a Durban-Mauritius route would work!

They don't have the economics to make it work on an E195.

When I passed through JNB a couple of weeks ago I saw an Airlink B737. Not sure that the B737 has the range for MRU though.

It has the range, that's what BA Comair flew JNB-MRU, but sadly as B747-437B mentioned, it's not Airlink's plane. That Comair flight would have been a fabulous Avios redemption back in the day as it was never cheap to book the times I looked at it.

My last Comair flight was just that - redemption to MRU.
