Thanks. I think they have the same menu for messenger, chat and Wechat. Can you recall which routing you took? I chose 9 for English, and then @ for talking with an agent, wrote down the problem and my preferred re-tourings and got the answer I had to call and my problem could not be solved by chat. And, btw, did you get your preferred rebooking option or was the EK another one? I fly TUN-JED-BKK and MNL-JED-TUN on the original ticket, it can well be they do not have availability on my dates with say QR or TK (which I indicated as preferred alternatives) - seats for such mutual help between carriers with rebookings may be limited.
Anyway, I can try the chat again to check my case number at least I guess.

If you are rebooked on TK you have a A321 to IST and that is not really better as this A330 of Saudia. And as indicated elsewhere, it is just a 4 hour flight. The downgrade to a 9 abreast A330 is just a bit too much.

A321 of TK are way better and newer (especially the A321neo) - the seat might be similar (no lie flat), but AVOD options have much more selections.

Yes, 9 then @ is right. Then I put my ticket number and booking reference and my rebooking preference. Then it said "Thank you for waiting, dear guest. Your request has been sent to the relevant department, and you will be contacted via mobile phone to confirm the modification request. Please answer the call." I was slightly surprised that they did indeed call me a few hours later, but still on the same day. The agent immediately offered the EK option and no other, and on balance I decided to take it. I only needed to rebook the return, not the outbound flight. The call quality on the call-back was hugely better than my previous attempt at WhatsApp call which was so bad that I was concerned that mistakes might be made in the rebooking.
Intriguingly, SV offers again J on the date of my flight back from MNL-JED-TUN on its website (yes, still with the A300 as plane...which we know cannot be true). If I get that J back, my only problem is the outbound leg TUN-JED that still only is offered in Y end April. If that is the damage and they offer some refund I probably leave it at that. It seems they do quite some reshuffling of aircraft and maybe they hope they can avoid rebookings this way.

from mid-may they have buiness class deployed again on the route - looks like an A300 as well but with a 2 row 2-2-2 biz config and a funny economy config 3-3-3 in rows 3-6 and 2-4-2 from row 7.
in april they have a 747 on the route on one day of the week as well with business class config.

That is likely an A330, as discussed an A300 is impossible since there are no. Wamos took over some A330s from Air Asia that have a 2 row business class, and a 3-3-3 Y. That you have some rows with 3-3-3 and the rest with 2-4-2 is something I have never seen. Where did you find the seat charts for these flights?
