how is Ethiopian with tight connections at ADD?

I am ticketed on ET 834 WDH-ADD 2:30pm-10:30pm connecting to ET 552 ADD-YYZ on May 14, 2021. Connection time in ADD is only 30 minutes.
These are award tickets from UA and the tix are in J. This is the return after a 13 day safari in Namibia.

How does ET do with such a tight connection? Is it likely we would make it? Would the luggage make it? If we miss the YYZ flight we would be stuck in Addis for another day and would miss the rest of the connecting flights taking us home to Kansas City.

I can change my flights to ET 730 ADD-BRU with a 1h25m connection but that gives me a longer total journey home with an extra connection, 3, than what I have now, 2. Instead of going WDH-ADD-YYZ-MCI we would go WDH-ADD-BRU-EWR-MCI with almost 3 more hours of total travel time.

Anyone with experience nonsuch a short connectional ADD?

Plenty of discussion about short connections below :

ET - 20 min connection Intl to Intl in ADD?

In short, 30 minutes is absolutely fine.

I went ahead and changed my tickets to this routing: WDH-ADD-BRU on ET -ORD-MC on UA. This adds 2 hours to the total journey time, 33h26m . I now have 1h25m connection at ADD. I got thinking about spending over 16 hours o the same aircraft ADD-YYZ that has the ground stop in Dublin at 8 hours. I decided to break up the journey with stops that will give me lounge access. I will have 4 hours in Brussels, and 4 hours in Chicago at the Polaris lounge. I can shower and get a nice meal in both of those lounges.

Should ET change the schedule to allow me to get on the ADD-ORD flight if award seats are available, I will switch again.
